YWIE

Our YWIE (Young Women in Excellence) night theme was DOTS -depend on the Savior- .  We gathered ideas from Pinterest, which is my go to source for pretty much anything.  There are some really cute and really elaborate themes to choose from.  We decided on a simple DOTS theme and decor. It turned out really great and spiritual for our Young Women and everyone else in attendance.

Our YW received a value to give a two minute talk on, and they were asked to bring something to represent that value. One of our new Beehives gave a talk on beginning personal progress and a Mia Maid that has almost completed hers gave a talk on finishing.

 

 

 

For refreshments we served cupcakes, oreos, milk, water, and had a DOTS handout filled with M&Ms.

First post.. All I can seem to think about is this tiny snake that has entered my home.  I stepped outside for a second and left the door open and when I came in I saw what at first I thought was a worm. Wrong! It's a baby snake. I tried to get it and it went under the baseboard. I pried the baseboard away from the wall- along with some of the wall. Plank boards. UGH! Tiny snake is still a no show. And its past bedtime, and hubs is 12 hours away.  My Daddy assures me the tiny snake is dead because I beat the wall with a bat couple hundred times trying to get it to come out.  Wall repair for hubs when he gets home.

Also shower stem repair for him, after he got about 5 hours away today (headed for his home away from home) I discovered the shower was leaking, bad. Well after much Internet research I just decided to turn it off as hard as I could with a wrench. So, the shower knob holder part is pretty much stripped. Something tells me this is going to be a long 14 days while he is away working.

My gorgeous girls are sleeping, they don't much mind there is a tiny snake in the house that may or may not be alive. and... my Daddy who lives with us is hot on the trail of the monster that kidnapped Zelda.  So I will learn about blogging and hope I get so sleepy that I don't worry about that thing that is keeping me up.
